The United States is a particularly challenging place to make your living from creative work. While in some European countries artists are granted government subsidies and funding, in contrast many artists in the U.S. face the permanent instability of a gig worker's life. In many industries employees are granted cost of living and salary increases each year. In some fields of creative work, artists have been earning the same wage for 50+ years. Over the course of this case study we explored potential solutions to address the financial hardships faced by full-time creative workers.
